Code Spell Checker appears to Conflit with LTeX #4942
-
|
I'm writing my thesis in LaTeX w/ VsCode using LaTeX Workshop and I'm using Code Spell Checker to spell check my text. Recently I found out about LTeX, a extension that uses Language Tool to do a proper grammar check in your document and I decided to install it to check it out, but it appears to conflict with CSpell, as now CSpell does not find any spelling mistakes, even ones that it caught before installing LTeX. Even disabling or uninstalling LTeX and reinstalling CSpell didn't seem to fix the issue. I'm at a complete loss here, I did not change any CSpell setting after installing LTeX, so I have no clue what I may add to help debug this, but any kind of help would be greatly appreciated. EDIT: I have cross posted this thread on the discussing board of LTeX too, as I believe this is relevant for both extensions (and also I'm slightly desperate). |

Fresh reinstall of VSCode appears to have fixed the issue, though I don't know what caused it originally, will refrain from reinstalling LTeX until I'm done with my thesis. |

@MiguelANunes,
Sorry for the slow response. I have not tried the LTeX extension (it is 4 years old). But it seems like it might be changing the document type for LaTeX files.
The command:
Spell: Open Spell Checker File Information Viewwill show information related to the currently open document.It should show something like this:
I hope this help.
